සුඛ දුක්ඛ ඉපදීම පිළිබඳ සාකච්ඡා කිරීමට සැවැත්නුවර බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ වෙත පැමිණි පිරිවැජියෙකි, සියලු සංස්කත ධර්මවල මුල අවිද්‍යාව බව දැන ගැනීමෙන් පසු බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ අනුගාමිකයෙකු බවට පත් වූ බව කියැවේ.

A wanderer who visited the Buddha at Sāvatthi to discuss the origin of pleasure and pain, and, on learning that ignorance underlies all conditioned existence, is said to have become a follower of the Buddha.
