ปริพาชกผู้ไปเฝ้าพระพุทธเจ้าที่สาวัตถีเพื่อสนทนาถึงต้นเหตุแห่งสุขและทุกข์ และเมื่อได้ทราบว่าอวิชชาเป็นรากฐานของสังขตธรรมทั้งปวง ก็กล่าวกันว่าได้กลายเป็นสาวกของพระพุทธเจ้า

A wanderer who visited the Buddha at Sāvatthi to discuss the origin of pleasure and pain, and, on learning that ignorance underlies all conditioned existence, is said to have become a follower of the Buddha.
