자기 우물에 갇힌 도망치던 왕을 구해낸 숲속 은자에 관한 자타카로, 후에 복위된 왕의 궁정에서 환영받고 예우받는다. 파세나디(Pasenadi) 왕궁의 여인들이 아난(Ānanda)에게 오백 벌의 가사를 준 일과 관련하여 설해졌다.

A Jātaka about a forest hermit who rescues a fleeing king trapped in his own well and is later welcomed and honoured at the restored king’s court, told in connection with Ānanda’s receiving five hundred robes from the women of King Pasenadi’s palace.
