一则本生故事，菩萨为婆罗门苦行者，安抚一只因诱杀同类而心怀愧疚的诱饵鹧鸪（被认作罗睺罗的前世），此故事用以说明唯有出于恶意的行为方构成罪过。

A Jātaka in which the Bodhisatta, as a brahmin ascetic, reassures a decoy partridge — identified as a previous birth of Rāhula — troubled by remorse over luring other partridges to their deaths, told to illustrate that an act becomes wrong only through bad intention.
