장로 레와타가 칸나쿳자에서 악갈라푸라와 사하자티로 향하는 길에 들른 마을로, 다른 장로들이 왓지족 비구들의 논쟁적인 관행에 대해 그와 상의하기 위해 이곳으로 모여들었다.

A village that the elder Revata visited on his way from Kaṇṇakujja toward Aggalapura and Sahajāti, where other elders came to consult him about the Vajjian monks’ disputed practices.
