Ummāda-Cittā
PersonMother of Paṇḍukābhaya, king of Sri Lanka, saved from her brothers’ murderous plot by her eldest brother Abhaya and later secretly wed to Dīghagāmaṇī, who scaled her isolated chamber by ladder; she was named Ummāda-Cittā (‘mind-maddening’) for the beauty that drove men wild.
