Fils de Mahāsāgara, roi d Uttara-Madhurā, qui, vice-roi de son frère Sāgara, s enfuit après avoir été soupçonné d une intrigue de harem, se réfugia auprès d Upakaṃsa, tomba amoureux de Devagabbhā et l épousa, engendrant avec elle les tristement célèbres frères Andhakaveṇhu.

Son of Mahāsāgara, king of Uttara-Madhurā, who as his brother Sāgara’s viceroy fled after being suspected of a harem intrigue, took refuge with Upakaṃsa, fell in love with and married Devagabbhā, and fathered with her the notorious Andhakaveṇhu brothers.
