උත්තර-මධුරාවේ මහාසාගර රජුගේ පුත්‍රයාය, සොහොයුරු සාගරගේ උපරජ ලෙස අන්තඃපුර කුමන්ත්‍රණයකට සැක කරන ලද පසු පලා ගොස්, උපකංස වෙත ආරක්ෂාව ලබා, දේවගබ්භාට පෙම් බැඳ විවාහ වී, ඇය සමඟ කුප්‍රකට අන්ධකවේණ්හු සොහොයුරන් ලබා ගත්තේය.

Son of Mahāsāgara, king of Uttara-Madhurā, who as his brother Sāgara’s viceroy fled after being suspected of a harem intrigue, took refuge with Upakaṃsa, fell in love with and married Devagabbhā, and fathered with her the notorious Andhakaveṇhu brothers.
