ชาดกที่พระโพธิสัตว์เป็นนักบวชผู้ไกล่เกลี่ยระหว่างพญานาคที่หวาดกลัวกับครุฑผู้ไล่ล่าด้วยการสอนเมตตาธรรม ตรัสเล่าเนื่องด้วยทหารสองนายที่ทะเลาะกันแล้วพระพุทธเจ้าทรงไกล่เกลี่ยให้คืนดี

A Jātaka in which the Bodhisatta, as an ascetic, reconciles a terrified nāga and a pursuing garuḷa by teaching them loving-kindness, told in reference to two quarrelsome soldiers later reconciled by the Buddha.

ชาดกที่ครอบครัวพราหมณ์ของพระโพธิสัตว์ผู้เจริญมรณสติมาช้านานไม่แสดงความโศกเศร้าเมื่อบุตรถูกงูกัดตาย ความสงบนิ่งนี้ทำให้พระอินทร์ทรงประทับใจจนประทานทรัพย์สินให้เป็นรางวัล

A Jātaka in which the Bodhisatta’s brahmin family, having long contemplated the inevitability of death, show no grief when a son dies of snakebite, their equanimity so impressing Sakka that he rewards them with treasure.
