Vācissara
PersonA Sinhalese monk, probably of the twelfth century, who wrote commentaries to several of Buddhadatta’s works and was also the author of the Rūpārūpavibhāga and Sīmālaṅkārasaṅgaha.

PersonProbably identical with Vācissara (2), head of the Saṅgha under Vijayabāhu III, who hid the Buddha’s Almsbowl and Tooth Relic for safekeeping and later assisted the king in reforming the Order.
