မြင်းမတစ်ကောင်က စိတ်ပျက်စွာ ချစ်နေသော မင်းကြီး၏ မြင်းထီးအကြောင်း ဇာတ်ကြောင်းဖြစ်ပြီး၊ သူသည် သူမထံ လာလည်ချိန်တွင် မာနကြောင့် ငြင်းပယ်ခံရပြီး၊ နောက် တမ်းတမှုကြောင့် သေဆုံးသွားခဲ့သည်။ သာဝတ္ထိမှ မြေရှင်တစ်ဦးအား ဟောကြားခဲ့ရာ၊ သူ၏ ချစ်သူကလည်း တစ်ကြိမ်တည်း လာလည်ချိန်တွင် ငြင်းပယ်ခဲ့ပြီး အလားတူ ဝမ်းနည်းမှုဖြင့် သေဆုံးခဲ့သည်။

A Jātaka about a king’s prized horse desperately loved by a she-ass, who nevertheless rebuffs him out of pride when he finally visits her and later dies of unfulfilled longing, told to a landowner of Sāvatthi whose own beloved rejected his advances on his one visit and then died of the same grief.
