一則本生故事，講一匹為國王所珍愛的駿馬被一頭母驢傾心愛慕，母驢卻在他終於前來探望時出於矜持踢開了他，隨後因相思而死，此事講給一位舍衛城地主聽，他所愛之人也在他唯一一次探訪時拒絕了他，隨後同樣因相思而亡。

A Jātaka about a king’s prized horse desperately loved by a she-ass, who nevertheless rebuffs him out of pride when he finally visits her and later dies of unfulfilled longing, told to a landowner of Sāvatthi whose own beloved rejected his advances on his one visit and then died of the same grief.
