凡伽人之國,即今日之孟加拉;獅子臂與獅子悉婆利的外祖母出自此地的凡伽公主,嫁與羯陵伽國王,《彌蘭陀王問經》亦提及此地為海路可達的貿易港。
The country of the Vaṅgā people, identified with modern Bengal, mother-country of the Vaṅga princess who married a Kāliṅga king and became grandmother of Sīhabāhu and Sīhasīvalī, and noted in the Milindapañha as a trading port reached by sea.
