Vaṭṭaka Jātaka
Jātaka菩萨化身为一只幼鹌鹑,以忆念诸佛威德所作的真实语令逼近的林火自行熄灭,后来佛陀在摩揭陀游历时林火同样止息,便讲述了这段往事。
The Bodhisatta born as a young quail who halted an approaching forest fire by an Act of Truth invoking the holiness of the Buddhas, a story the Buddha later retold after a similar fire was stopped during his travels in Magadha.

The Bodhisatta born as a contented forest quail whose fine condition a greedy crow assumed was due to rich food, until the quail explained it came instead from a mind free of desire and fear.
