Vacchagotta Sutta
Sutta遍歴行者ヴァッチャゴッタが仏陀に、そして別に大目犍連に、なぜ仏陀は世界の永遠性を肯定も否定もしないのかと問い、両者から同一の答えを得てその一致に驚嘆する様を記録した経。
A discourse recording the wanderer Vacchagotta’s question to the Buddha, and separately to Mahā-Moggallāna, as to why the Buddha will not affirm or deny the world’s eternity, receiving identical answers from both and marvelling at their agreement.

Suttaヴァッチャゴッタが仏陀に他派への布施を思いとどまらせているのかと問い、仏陀がどのような生き物への施しにも功徳があるが、有徳者への施しは悪人への施しよりも実り多いと答える経。
A discourse in which Vacchagotta asks whether the Buddha discourages giving alms to other sects, and the Buddha replies that any gift to any creature bears merit, though gifts to the virtuous are more fruitful than gifts to the wicked.
