  • Sāvatthi のバラモンで、仏の姿に魅了され主にその姿を眺めたい一心で出家したが、法を見ることこそ真に重要であると仏に教えられた後、阿羅漢果を得た。

  • A brahmin of Sāvatthi who, captivated by the sight of the Buddha, became a monk chiefly to gaze upon him, and who attained Arahantship after the Buddha taught him that seeing the Dhamma is what truly matters.
