A brahmin of Sāvatthi who, captivated by the sight of the Buddha, became a monk chiefly to gaze upon him, and who attained Arahantship after the Buddha taught him that seeing the Dhamma is what truly matters.

Padumuttara 붓다 시대에 믿음에서 으뜸이 되기를 서원한 비구이거나, 앞서 언급된 바라문 출신 비구의 아라한과와 죽음을 서술한 경의 이름 중 하나.
