ကပိလဝတ်မြို့မှ ပုဏ္ဏား ဝစ္ဆဂေါတ ၏ သားတော်ဖြစ်ပြီး တောထဲတွင် မွေးဖွားခဲ့ကာ တောထဲရှင်သန်ခြင်းကို နှစ်သက်မှုအရ အမည်ရရှိခဲ့သည်၊ ဗုဒ္ဓ ဗောဓိဉာဏ်ရမီ ရဟန်းပြုခဲ့ပြီး သံဃာတော်သို့ ဝင်ရောက်ပြီးနောက် ထိုတောတွင်ပင် ရဟန္တာဖြစ်ခဲ့သည်

Son of the brahmin Vacchagotta of Kapilavatthu, born in the forest and named for his love of woodland life, who left the world before the Buddha’s Enlightenment and attained Arahantship there after joining the Order.

ဗိမ္ဘိသာရမင်းထံ ဗုဒ္ဓ ကြွရောက်လာသည်ကို မြင်တွေ့ပြီးနောက် သံဃာတော်သို့ ဝင်ရောက်ခဲ့ကာ မကြာမီ ရဟန္တာဖြစ်ခဲ့ပြီး၊ ဆွေမျိုးများက အနီးတွင် နေထိုင်ရန် တိုက်တွန်းသည့်တိုင် တောရှိ တစ်ကိုယ်တည်း ဘဝကို ပို၍ နှစ်သက်ခဲ့သော ရာဇဂြိုဟ်မြို့ ချမ်းသာသော ပုဏ္ဏား၏ သားတော်

Son of a wealthy brahmin of Rājagaha who joined the Order after witnessing the Buddha’s visit to Bimbisāra, soon attained Arahantship, and preferred the solitary life of the forest even when kinsmen urged him to live nearby.
