Vappa
Person苦行時代の菩薩に付き従った五比丘の一人。菩薩が固形食を取り始めると失望して離れたが、後にイシパタナで仏陀の初期の説法を聞き、最初に阿羅漢果を得た一人となった。
One of the group of five ascetics who accompanied the Bodhisatta during his years of austerity, left him in disappointment when he began taking solid food, but later became one of the first to attain Arahantship after hearing the Buddha’s early teachings at Isipatana.
