  • 고행 시절 보살을 따랐던 다섯 수행자 중 한 사람. 보살이 단단한 음식을 먹기 시작하자 실망하여 떠났으나, 후에 이시빠따나에서 부처님의 초기 설법을 듣고 가장 먼저 아라한과를 얻은 이들 중 하나가 되었다.

  • One of the group of five ascetics who accompanied the Bodhisatta during his years of austerity, left him in disappointment when he began taking solid food, but later became one of the first to attain Arahantship after hearing the Buddha’s early teachings at Isipatana.
