アッギカバーラドヴァージャ・スッタとも呼ばれる経典で、托鉢中にあるバラモンが仏陀を賤民と罵倒した後に説かれ、人を賤民または真のバラモンにするのは行いであり出自ではないと仏陀が説明する。

A discourse, also called the Aggikabhāradvāja Sutta, given after a brahmin reviles the Buddha as an outcaste while he sought alms, in which the Buddha explains that it is one’s deeds, not one’s birth, that make a person an outcaste or a true brahmin.
