아기카바라드바자 숫타로도 불리는 경으로, 탁발 중 한 바라문이 부처님을 천민이라 욕한 뒤 설해졌으며, 사람을 천민 또는 참된 바라문으로 만드는 것은 행위이지 태생이 아니라고 부처님이 설명하신다.

A discourse, also called the Aggikabhāradvāja Sutta, given after a brahmin reviles the Buddha as an outcaste while he sought alms, in which the Buddha explains that it is one’s deeds, not one’s birth, that make a person an outcaste or a true brahmin.
