ဆွမ်းခံနေစဉ် ပုဏ္ဏားတစ်ဦးက ဗုဒ္ဓကို ဗမာဆလ (ဇာတ်နိမ့်) ဟု ဆဲရေးပြီးနောက် ဟောကြားခဲ့သော၊ အဂ္ဂိကဘာရဒွါဇသုတ်ဟုလည်း ခေါ်သော သုတ်ဖြစ်သည်၊ လူတစ်ဦးကို ဇာတ်နိမ့်သူ သို့မဟုတ် စစ်မှန်သော ပုဏ္ဏား ဖြစ်စေသည်မှာ ကျင့်ကြံမှုသာ ဖြစ်ပြီး မွေးဖွားမှု မဟုတ်ကြောင်း ဗုဒ္ဓက ရှင်းပြသည်။

A discourse, also called the Aggikabhāradvāja Sutta, given after a brahmin reviles the Buddha as an outcaste while he sought alms, in which the Buddha explains that it is one’s deeds, not one’s birth, that make a person an outcaste or a true brahmin.
