Vassakāra Sutta
Sutta大臣ヴァッサカーラが竹林精舎に仏陀を訪ね、仏陀が真の偉大さの四つの資質を説き、それらを自らも備えていると認めた経。
A discourse in which the minister Vassakāra visits the Buddha at Veḷuvana and the Buddha describes four qualities of true greatness, which he acknowledges possessing himself.

Suttaなぜ善人だけが、悪人ではなく、他人の善悪を見分けられるのかをヴァッサカーラが仏陀に問い、苦行者ウッダカ・ラーマプッタの逸話をもって例証した経。
A discourse in which Vassakāra questions the Buddha on why only a good person, not a bad one, can recognise goodness or badness in others, illustrated by an account of the ascetic Uddaka-Rāmaputta.

Suttaアジャータサットゥ王に遣わされたヴァッサカーラがヴァッジー族への攻撃計画について仏陀に問い、仏陀がヴァッジー族は繁栄の七条件を守る限り征服されないと説明した経。
A discourse in which Vassakāra, sent by King Ajātasattu, asks the Buddha about a planned attack on the Vajjī, and the Buddha explains that the Vajjī will remain undefeated so long as they uphold seven conditions of welfare.
