Personサーヴァッティーの在家女性で、その温和さで知られていたが、召使いの少女カーリーがその評判が根拠のないものであることを示した。ブッダゴーサは彼女の名がヴィデーハ家の出自か、あるいは彼女の智慧に由来すると説明する。
A lady householder of Sāvatthi reputed for her gentleness until her servant girl Kāḷī showed this reputation to be undeserved; Buddhaghosa explains her name as deriving either from her Videha family origin or from her wisdom.
