  • සාවත්ථියේ ගිහි කාන්තාවක, ඇගේ මෘදුභාවය සඳහා ප්‍රසිද්ධ වූවාය, ඇගේ සේවිකාව කාළී එම කීර්තිය නොසුදුසු බව පෙන්වන තෙක්; බුද්ධඝෝෂ ඇගේ නම විදේහ පවුලේ මූලයෙන් හෝ ඇගේ ප්‍රඥාවෙන් ව්‍යුත්පන්න වූ බව පැහැදිලි කරයි.
