遍歴行者ヴェーカナッサが完全性の本質について仏陀と論争し、彼の考えが単なる洗練された快楽に過ぎないことを示され、仏陀の信奉者となった経で、注釈書によれば彼は弟子サクルダーイの論争敗北を理解しようとして訪れたという。

A discourse in which the wanderer Vekhanassa argues with the Buddha over the nature of perfection, is shown that his notion is merely refined pleasure, and becomes the Buddha’s follower; the Commentary says he came seeking to understand his pupil Sakuludāyi’s defeat in debate.
