පරිපූර්ණත්වයේ ස්වභාවය ගැන බුදුන් වහන්සේ සමඟ තර්ක කරන පිරිවැජියෙකු වූ වේඛනස්ස, තම මතය හුදෙක් පිරිපහදු කළ සුඛයක් බව පෙන්වා දෙනු ලැබ, බුදුන් වහන්සේගේ අනුගාමිකයෙකු වූ සූත්‍රයකි; තම ශිෂ්‍ය සකුලුදායීගේ විවාද පරාජය තේරුම් ගැනීම සඳහා ඔහු පැමිණි බව අටුවාව සඳහන් කරයි.

A discourse in which the wanderer Vekhanassa argues with the Buddha over the nature of perfection, is shown that his notion is merely refined pleasure, and becomes the Buddha’s follower; the Commentary says he came seeking to understand his pupil Sakuludāyi’s defeat in debate.
