本生故事，讲波罗奈王梵与不顾其师戒其莫行严酷之诫，听从祭司之言弄瞎一千名被俘君王，自己后来也遭致双目失明、痛苦而死；此事对应菩提王子弄瞎宫殿建筑师之举。

A birth story of a king of Bārāṇasī who ignored his teacher’s warning against harshness, blinded a thousand captive kings on his chaplain’s advice, and died in agony after being blinded himself, told regarding a prince’s blinding of his palace architect.
