카만다(Kāmaṇḍā)의 바라문 씨족 여성이자 존경받는 스승으로, 처음에는 불교의 가르침을 얕보았으나 훗날 비구 우다이(Udāyī) 앞에서 겸손해져, 그가 화복의 원인에 대한 그녀의 질문에 답한 후 스스로 그의 추종자임을 선언했다.

A brahmin clanswoman and respected teacher of Kāmaṇḍā who at first slighted the Buddhist teaching, but who later humbled herself before the monk Udāyī and declared herself his follower after he answered her question on the cause of weal and woe.
