ဗုဒ္ဓ နှစ်ဆယ့်လေးဆူတို့တွင် နှစ်ဆယ့်တစ်ခုမြောက်ဖြစ်ပြီး၊ ရသူ (ရသေ့) ဥယျာဉ် အနောမ တွင် စစ်သူကြီး သုပ္ပတီတ ထံမှ ဖွားမြင်ခဲ့သည်။ မွေးဖွားသည့်နေ့တွင် နွားလားသဖွယ် တွန်ခေါ်ခဲ့သည်ဟု ဆိုကာ ထို့ကြောင့် အမည်ရရှိခဲ့ခြင်း ဖြစ်သည်။
