一则本生故事，讲七位出家为苦行者的兄弟耽于嬉戏荒废修行，帝释化作鹦鹉前来婉言指出他们不过是拾人余食者而非真正的苦行者，是佛陀就一群同样懈怠的比丘所说。

A birth story about seven brothers turned ascetics who neglect their practice for amusement, until Sakka, taking the form of a parrot, visits and gently rebukes them for being mere refuse-eaters rather than true ascetics, told in reference to a group of similarly negligent monks.
