一則本生故事，講七位出家為苦行者的兄弟耽於嬉戲荒廢修行，帝釋化作鸚鵡前來婉言指出他們不過是拾人餘食者而非真正的苦行者，是佛陀就一群同樣懈怠的比丘所說。

A birth story about seven brothers turned ascetics who neglect their practice for amusement, until Sakka, taking the form of a parrot, visits and gently rebukes them for being mere refuse-eaters rather than true ascetics, told in reference to a group of similarly negligent monks.
