女性の信用ならなさに関する本生話で、遊女に日々贈り物をしていた若い商人が、金を持たずに来た唯一の日に手ぶらで追い返されたことで嫌気がさし出家して苦行者となった話で、女性が原因で還俗を考える比丘になぞらえられる。

A Jātaka on the untrustworthiness of women, telling how a young merchant, having lavished daily gifts on a courtesan, was turned away empty-handed on the one day he came without money, and in disgust became an ascetic, told in reference to a monk tempted to leave the Order because of a woman.
