Person사왓티의 바라문으로, 바라문 학문에 환멸을 느낀 뒤 제타 숲에서 부처님의 설법을 듣고 출가하여 아라한이 되었다.
A brahmin of Sāvatthi who, disillusioned with brahmanical learning, entered the Order after hearing the Buddha teach at Jetavana and became an Arahant.
