Une princesse Nāga, fille du roi Nāga Dhataraṭṭha et demi-sœur du Bodhisatta Bhūridatta, capable de souffler des flammes et de cracher du venin, qui aida à sauver son frère du charmeur de serpents Ālambāna ; dans une vie ultérieure, elle fut la nonne Uppalavaṇṇā.

v.l. Accīmukhī.– A Nāga princess, daughter of Dhataraṭṭha, the Nāga king. She was half-sister to the Bodhisatta Bhūridatta and helped his brother Sudassana to rescue the Bodhisatta from the clutches of the snake-charmer Ālambāna.

She could shoot flames from her mouth and spit the deadliest poison.

The story is related in the Bhūiridatta Jātaka (J.vi.157 ff).

In the present age she was the Bhikkhuṇī Uppalavaṇṇā (J.vi.219).
