Un novice qui rapporta au Bouddha sa conversation avec le prince Jayasena sur la vie monastique, incitant le Bouddha à enseigner le Dantabhūmi Sutta; il est désigné tout au long par son nom de clan Aggivessana.

A novice who had a conversation with Prince Jayasena on the life of the bhikkhu. Aciravata repeats this conversation to the Buddha who thereupon teaches the Dantabhūmi Sutta (M.iii.128 ff).

The novice is throughout addressed as Aggivessana.
