Personリッチャヴィ族の将軍で仏陀の信奉者、死後すぐに忉利天に生まれ変わり、代わりに地獄に生まれ変わったという裸形の苦行者の偽りの主張を反駁するために仏陀を訪れた。
General of the Licchavis and follower of the Buddha. Immediately after his death he was born in Tāvatiṃsa; he visited the Buddha to refute a statement made about him by the naked ascetic Pāthikaputta to the effect that he had been born in the great hell (Mahāniraya) as a result of having followed the teaching of the Buddha.
