Personパンドゥ王の五人の息子のうち最年長で、皆同じ妻カンハーと結婚していたが、彼女の裏切りを知って共に彼女を捨てヒマラヤに退いた者。鳥の王クナーラの前世。
The eldest of the five sons of King Paṇḍu, all of whom were married to Kaṇhā. On discovering her liaison with a hunch-backed slave and her treachery towards themselves, they gave her up and retired to Himavā (J.v.425 f). Ajjuna was a previous birth of the bird-king Kuṇāla (J.v.427).
