Person来るべき仏メッテイヤの未来の上首弟子であり、『マハーヴァンサ』ではドゥッタガーマニー王と同一視されている。
The chief disciple of the future Metteyya Buddha (Anāgatavaṃsa. v.97). According to the Mahāvaṃsa (xxxii.81) he should be identified with Duṭṭhagāmaṇī.
