Person냐띠까의 승려로, 그의 죽음에 대해 아난다의 물음에 답하여 부처님은 그것이 아라한의 반열반이라고 확인하였다.
A monk of Ñātikā. Once when the Buddha was staying at Ñātikā in the Giñjakāvasatha, Ānanda mentions to the Buddha that Asoka Thera had died, and asks where he had gone. The Buddha tells him that Asoka was an Arahant and had realised nibbāna. S.i.358.
