Bahudhātuka Sutta

Sutta

Eine im Jetavana gehaltene Lehrrede, in der der Buddha Ānandas Fragen beantwortet, wie ein Mönch die Elemente, Sinnesbereiche, das bedingte Entstehen sowie Mögliches und Unmögliches meistert; auch unter mehreren anderen Namen bekannt.

Taught at Jetavana.

It contains a series of questions asked by Ānanda and the Buddha’s answers. The Buddha describes various ways in which the monk can achieve mastery of:

the elements (dhātu),

the senses,

the chain of causation,

the rationally possible and

the rationally impossible.

Other names for the sutta are Catuparivatta, Dhammādāsa, Amatadundubhi and Anuttara Saṅgāmavijaya. M.iii.61 ff.
