It contains a series of questions asked by Ānanda and the Buddha’s answers. The Buddha describes various ways in which the monk can achieve mastery of:
the elements (dhātu),
the senses,
the chain of causation,
the rationally possible and
the rationally impossible.
Other names for the sutta are Catuparivatta, Dhammādāsa, Amatadundubhi and Anuttara Saṅgāmavijaya. M.iii.61 ff.
