Bhaggavagotta
Person裸形の苦行者と異なり衣を着ていた遍歴行者で、アヌピヤーの近くに住み、スナッカッタの友人であった。ブッダはかつて彼を訪ねて会話をし、それは『パーティカ経』に記録されている。バッガヴァ族に属していたため、この名で呼ばれた。
A clothed Wanderer (chaṇṇaparibbājaka) (DA.iii.816), who lived in a pleasance near Anupiyā. He was a friend of Sunakkhatta (q.v.)
The Buddha once visited him, and their conversation is recorded in the Pāthika Sutta (q.v.) (D.iii.1 ff).
He was evidently so called because he belonged to the clan (gotta) named Bhaggava (? potters).
