Bhaṇḍa

Person

A monk, associate of Ānanda, whom Mahā-Kassapa reported to the Buddha for quarrelling with a colleague of Anuruddha, after which both disputants confessed and were forgiven.

A colleague of Ānanda whom Mahā-Kassapa reported to the Buddha at Veḷuvana for disputing with Abhiñjaka Thera, a colleague of Anuruddha. The Buddha sent for the disputants and rebuked them for their contentiousness.

They confessed their fault and were pardoned. S.ii.204 f.
