Bhātikatissa
Personマハッラナーガの子で二十四年間スリランカを統治した王。マハーヴィハーラの周囲に壁を築き、いくつもの僧院を建立し、トゥーパーラーマに貯水池と布薩堂を建設した。弟のカニッタ・ティッサが後を継いだ。
Son of Mahallanāga and king of Sri Lanka for twenty-four years (203-227 A.C.)
He built a wall round the Mahāvihāra.
He erected the Gavaratissa° and Bhātikatissa-vihāras and built the Mahāmani reservoir, and also built an uposatha hall in the Thūpārāma.
He was succeeded by his younger brother, Kaṇiṭṭha-Tissa. Mhv.xxxvi.1 ff; Dpv.xxii.18, 20, 30, 31.
