Buddhasaññaka
PersonMột vị A-la-hán, vào thời Đức Phật Vipassī từng là một địa thần, khi cảm nhận đất rung chuyển lúc Đức Phật viên tịch đã nhận ra sự vĩ đại của Ngài và tôn kính Ngài trong tâm; về sau làm vua tên là Samita, có lẽ chính là trưởng lão Meghiya.
An Arahant. In the time of Vipassī Buddha he was an earth bound deva, and when, at the death of the Buddha, the earth trembled, he realised the Buddha’s might and honoured him in his heart. Fourteen world-cycles ago he was a king named Samita (Ap.i.151 f). He is probably identical with Meghiya Thera. ThagA.i.149 f.
