A herdsman, servant of Dīghagāmani. He was put to death by the brothers of Ummāda-Cittā, because he refused to promise to kill Ummāda-Cittā’s child should it be a boy. He was reborn as a yakkha. See Cittarāja. Mhv.ix.22 f; MT.278.
