Dīghagāmaṇī
PersonEin Sakyer-Prinz, Sohn des Dīghāyu und Cousin der Ummāda-Cittā, der, nachdem Cittā sich in ihn verliebt und sein Kind geboren hatte, durch ihre heimliche Verbindung und die anschließende Heirat zum Vater des Paṇḍukābhaya wurde.
A Sakyan prince, son of Dīghāyu and, therefore, cousin of Ummāda-Cittā. Having heard of Cittā, he went to Upatissagāma and took service at the court of Paṇḍuvāsudeva.
There Cittā saw him and fell in love with him and he visited her by night. When a child was conceived Citta was given to him in marriage.
This child was Paṇḍukābhaya. Citta and Kālaveḷa were servants of Dīghagāmaṇī. Mhv.ix.13 ff; Dpv.x.8 f.
