Gopāla5
Person前生でカッサパ仏に施しをしたが特別な成果を得られなかった、大目犍連が訪れて教化した後に預流果を得た忉利天のデーヴァプッタ。
A devaputta of Tāvatiṃsa. He was the teacher of Uracchadā-mālā and gave alms to the Buddha Kassapa and the monks; he heard the Dhamma but could get no special attainment. Mahā-Moggallāna met him during a visit to Tāvatiṃsa and, in answer to the elder’s questions, Gopāla gave an account of himself. Moggallāna thereupon taught him and he became a Stream-winner (sotāpanna). Vv.v.14; VvA.270 ff.
