Jatukaṇṇī

바라문 바와리의 제자 중 한 사람으로, 평화를 얻는 법에 대해 부처님께 질문했고, 갈애와 과거·현재·미래를 놓아버리는 것에 대한 부처님의 대답이 『자투칸니 마나바 풋차』에 기록되어 있다.
One of Bāvarī’s disciples. His question and the Buddha’s answer are found in the Jatukaṇṇi-māṇava Pucchā.
In the time of Padumuttara Buddha, Jatukaṇṇī was a banker in Haṃsavatī, rich enough to lend money even to the king, Arindama. One day he saw the Buddha going along the street and, having invited him and twenty thousand monks, gave them a meal at his house. Ap.ii.357 ff.
Jatukaṇṇi-māṇava Pucchā.– Jatukaṇṇī asks the Buddha how to attain the state of peace. The Buddha tells him to let go of all greed for pleasure. Letting go is peaceful. Let go of the past, the future, and the present. When there are no more corruptions (āsava), you will be immune from death. (SN.vv.1007, 1096-1100; Dvy.635)
